About the Event

Darien Library and COFFI invite you to join us for a BHM celebration! Join us as we uplift and amplify African American culture and points of view. At this celebration, we'll have the pleasure of hearing a story by local teacher and author, Yvette Cole. Yvette will be reading her book, Harriet's Dinner Party, which introduces children to historical black figures through the whimsical lens of a magical dinner party! Yvette wrote the book to help children learn about African American heroes in a fun way. After we read, we'll create art pieces in the style of Alma Thomas. See you there!
